The precision localization system is based on antennas managed over standard IP connectivity and powered via PoE, so no specialized RF technicians are required for the physical installation — any certified network cabling team can do it. Potentially, yes — it depends on two factors. First, the access point models: recent Cisco and Aruba APs embed BLE/IoT radios that can act as localization receivers, while older generations don't. Second, the density: WiFi networks are designed for coverage, not positioning, so an AP layout that's perfect for connectivity may only deliver zone-level accuracy. During site design we audit your existing network and tell you exactly what it can deliver as-is, what a light augmentation would add, and where dedicated infrastructure is genuinely needed. BlueGPS integrates with Cisco Spaces natively.

The Precision tier runs on Quuppa Bluetooth AoA: approximately 1 meter accuracy with position updates computed every second. The Mesh tier delivers room-level accuracy (~4 m) with updates in the order of minutes. Operations that require very high sub-meter granularity or outdoor coverage may change the hardware mix — and the price — which is why every project starts with a site design.

Yes — hardware-agnostic is not a slogan, it's the architecture. BlueGPS already integrates Quuppa, BLE mesh, Wirepas, UWB, GPS, and other localization layers. If your vendor's software lacks functions, flexibility, or a reasonable price, we integrate your technology once and you pay €1/sqm per year for the full platform.

The price does vary depending on your application. Prices for healthcare applications or smart buildings are higher due to the complexity of the building architecture, with a higher number of smaller rooms or spaces increasing the density (and therefore quantity) of locators required.
